Milestone Suggestions

Omi can suggest a milestone structure for a new project based on the project's category, description, and budget — saving you time and helping you avoid common structuring mistakes.

How to Get Suggestions

1. Open a project and go to the Timeline tab
2. Click Suggest with Omi
3. Omi generates 3–6 milestone suggestions in a few seconds

The suggestions panel slides in on the right side of the screen.

What Omi Suggests

For each milestone, Omi provides:

• Title — a clear deliverable name (e.g. Discovery & Kickoff, Design Concepts, Final Delivery & Handoff)
• Description — what the milestone covers
• Payment percentage — Omi distributes the payment across milestones so they add up to 100%

Omi is aware of your project type (Branding, Web, Mobile, etc.) and structures milestones to follow the natural phases of that work — discovery → design → development → delivery → handoff.

Applying Suggestions

For each suggestion, you can:

• Add to project — creates the milestone in your timeline
• Dismiss — removes it from the suggestions panel without adding it

You can add some and dismiss others. There is no requirement to use all suggestions.

Editing After Adding

Milestones created from Omi suggestions are fully editable. Change the title, due date, payment percentage, or description just like any other milestone.

When to Use It

Milestone suggestions work best at the start of a project when you're setting up the timeline from scratch. They're less useful mid-project when milestones already exist and have been agreed with the client.

TIP

If your project already has milestones from the original proposal, you don't need to use Omi's suggestions — the proposal milestones are already imported. Use the suggestion tool for projects where the milestone structure wasn't defined in the proposal.
